Warragul Fire Brigade was alerted at 15:04 on the 27th September 2011 to an initial report of a garage on fire, on Brandy Creek Road, Warragul. Warragul Pumper turned out Code 1 with a crew of 4 to attend the incident.
Upon arrival, fire fighters discovered fence vegetation smouldering that caught alight when the occupant was burning off in their back yard.
Fire fighters doused the vegetation with water, extinguishing the fire and then investigated the adjoining shed to determine if there were any other outbreaks that were not initially identified.
The only damage to the property was a burnt hedge. No damage to other adjoining structures or properties was identified.
