Tree Fire, Somerset Drive, Warragul

At about 5:15pm on Friday 23rd September, Warragul Fire Brigade was called to a report of a burn off threatening tree in Somerset Drive Warragul.

On arrival it was discovered that a resident had decided to burn offcuts and debris, and had the fire under control. Firefighters provided assistance to the resident in extinguishing the burn off.

First Lieutenant Steve Venville said “Residents wanting to conduct a burn-off outside of the Fire Danger Period and within residential, business, industrial or low density residential zones are asked to contact the Baw Baw Shire Council for further information”.
