At 9.10pm on Wednesday 19th October, Warragul Fire Brigade were called to a car accident on the Princes Freeway in Nilma.

At approximately 9:00am on Tuesday 11 October 2011, the Warragul Fire Brigade received a call from a member of the community advising of a smell of gas in the Burke Street, Warragul area.
The Brigade responded with two appliances and additional support was received from Drouin Fire Brigade.

Warragul Fire Brigade was alerted at 15:04 on the 27th September 2011 to an initial report of a garage on fire, on Brandy Creek Road, Warragul. Warragul Pumper turned out Code 1 with a crew of 4 to attend the incident.

On Monday 3rd October, Warragul Fire Brigade’s weekly training was interrupted by a call out to a "small fire on a lawn" in Somerset Drive, Warragul.

As we are approaching a time change due to daylight savings, it's time to change those smoke alarms batteries.
It is recommended that batteries be replaced in all residential smoke alarms every 6 months. This ensures that the smoke alarm will be able to alert you to a fire.

At about 6.15pm on Saturday 24th Sept, Warragul Fire Brigade responded to a report of a stove fire at a house in Montrose St Warragul.

At 5:47pm on Friday 23rd September, Warragul Fire Brigade was paged to a report of a possible gas leak in Eade Avenue, Warragul. Whilst en-route, crews were updated with further information that the leak had possibly come from an LPG cylinder attached to a caravan.

On Monday afternoon a private timber contractor was burning off some small piles of timber in a Hardwood Plantation and picking out the good pieces for firewood using an excavator.

At 10:12am Warragul Fire Brigade responded to a report that a powerline was down across a vehicle, and smoke coming from the vehicle, in Albert St, Warragul.
When Warragul Pumper arrived onscene, SP AusNet (power company) was onscene making the powerline safe. Victoria Police were directing traffic around the incident.
Due to the quick response by SP AusNet, risk to the public was minimised.
